Is Jesus God?
Some people wonder, “Did Jesus ever claim to be God?” This is a fair question. Below is a compilation of statements made that indicate that Jesus is the Second Person of the Triune God. I have not included any acts of miracles, healings, or the Resurrection to show that Jesus is God, but just the words He used to describe Himself and His authority.

“But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!” And Jesus responded, “Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father in heaven.” Matt. 16:15-17
